XROCK Male Supplements Recalled

Filed April 23rd, 2012 Laurie

XROCK Industries has issued a voluntary recall of certain supplement products under the brand name XROCK. Preliminary
tests showed the XROCK product for men contained ontained sildenafil and hydroxythiohomosildenafil.
Hydroxythiohomosildenafil is an analogue of sildenafil. Sildenafil is the active pharmaceutical ingredient in an
FDA-approved drug that is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED).

Hydroxythiohomosildenafil is close in structure to sildenafil and is expected to possess a similar pharmacological and adverse event profile. Sildenafil poses a threat to consumers because it might interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs, like nitroglycerin. Hydroxythiohomosildenafil, like sildenafil, can cause headaches, flushing, and other side effects.

The company is encouraging its customers to return any of the unused product to the point of purchase for a full refund. Consumers can also contact the company directly as a part of its Direct Response Program by calling 877-976-2563, Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., EST, or by visiting XROCK’s website.
